NOTICE FOR FILING CANDIDACY
ELY CITY ELECTIONS 2026
Pursuant to NAC 293C.060, the City of Ely hereby designates the offices for which candidates are to be nominated at the city primary election to be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and the offices for which candidates are to be elected at the general city election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026:
Seat #1 Term of Four (4) Years
Seat #3 Term of Four (4) Years
Seat #5 Term of Four (4) Years
A candidate for any of the above offices must file a declaration of candidacy with the City Clerk at Ely City Hall, 501 Mill Street. All candidates shall pay a filing fee of $50.00 at the time of filing the Declaration of Candidacy. Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted from March 2, 2026, through March 13, 2026.
Pursuant to NRS 293.1755(1)(a) -(b), no person may be a candidate for office unless, for at least 30 days immediately preceding March 13, 2026, they have actually resided in and are registered to vote in the City of Ely.
