As City of Ely Volunteer Fire Department & Emergency Services begin their 120th year, your support is needed, more than ever.

What began in Ely in 1906 continues today, because of dedicated men and women that answered the call to serve their community. Putting their lives on the line to save others.

As City of Ely Volunteer Fire Department & Emergency Services begin their 120th year, your support is needed, more than ever.

This year the EVFD business-to-business fundraising drive will be on Saturday December 6, and their annual house-to- house will be on Saturday December 13th.

Donations help them acquire new and better equipment and cover training expenses for volunteers, which keeps up with constant evolutions of technology, equipment, and life-saving practices.

Community support also allows these community heroes to continuously meet the high demands of daily calls for emergency responses from as far away as Duckwater, Nye County, Eureka, and the vastness of White Pine.

While every financial contribution received is appreciated, Personnel answering the call to serve is another way to contribute to this worthwhile cause. The Ely Volunteer Fire Department extends a huge thank you to local businesses and the community for their continuous support. Without the generosity of community members, the department would not be able to serve as they have for the past 119 years.
